Dental School to Raise $115M for Brighter Student Futures

By Admin User on March 23, 2012

The Ostrow School of Dentistry has recently launched a campaign over the next seven years to raise $115 million for more scholarship opportunities, and other student/faculty resources in honor of the school’s 115th anniversary.

In an article released by the Daily Trojan, Calen Ouellette (Director of Development and Alumni Resources for OSD) stated there were several key objectives behind their campaign.

“We want to make sure we’re able to recruit students, to keep students, and to reward or recognize students with our scholarships if they’ve done a great job. We want them to go into the profession, make an impact, and one of the last concerns they should have is how they are going to pay back the school.” [1]

This campaign provides great insight into their strong perseverance for quality dental education, and will hopefully spark more initiative throughout the rest of the industry to follow in their footsteps.
